When referring your patients to us, we will always aim to provide the best possible dental care. We'll then return your patient to your care following treatment. Only treatment previously agreed will be carried out. An estimate of fees is always provided to the patient beforehand. If we feel other treatments are necessary, this will always be discussed with you in advance.

Here at 1A Orthodontics, we are pleased to accept orthodontic patient referrals. We have a growing number of referring general dentists based on putting the needs, wishes and concerns of your patients first. We deliver the highest quality treatment possible ensuring that at all times, you are fully informed about progress and outcomes.
Once we receive your referral, we will then contact the patient directly to make an appointment for consultation, keeping you informed of progress.
1A Orthodontics is a fully private orthodontic practice. However, we are happy to give advice about referring a child to an NHS Orthodontic Practice if a general dentist has recommended NHS Orthodontic Treatment.
If you are interested in private treatment for your child, we would be pleased to arrange an initial consultation. Private treatment can often be started sooner than NHS treatment, providing a wider range of orthodontic appliance choices including Invisalign clear aligners. We can also offer patient finance subject to status and acceptance.
We greatly value the trust and confidence you place in us to provide your patients with the best possible treatment and care. To support this, we have created a Referral Charter.
At all times, we will do our utmost to ensure that your patient receives the best specialist dental treatment and care.
We promise to treat your patient with respect throughout their journey at 1A Orthodontics
We will respect at all times, the patient’s personal preferences and will never discriminate for age, gender reassignment, marital status, pregnancy, disability, race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
We will provide you with convenient options to refer patients and do our best to ensure that patient data is always stored safely and securely in accordance with relevant laws and guidelines.
We will keep you informed of any other required general treatment throughout your patients’ journey so they can arrange an appointment directly with you.
We will not actively solicit the business of any referral patient beyond the scope of the referral work itself. In the rare case that a referral patient requests ongoing dental services from us, we will advise them to discuss the matter with you first and we will contact you to inform you of their request.
We will do all we can to help strengthen the professional relationship you have with your patient including highlighting the fact that we work in partnership with you and that you remain fully informed at all times.
